Cork City W.F.C. are delighted to announced a comprehensive partnership with Cork Institute of Technology to further develop the sporting, academic, research and educational links between the two organisations.

As part of the association with C.I.T. the Leeside club will be availing of the training facilities in C.I.T. including the Elite Gym with instructor Eric Marah, as well as utilising the training pitches throughout the season. The club has already strong ties with CIT following from playing in the stadium on campus in their first season of the Women’s National League.

As part of the association – the Cork club will also be incorporating the C.I.T. logo onto their home jersey while providing specialised coaching to the college’s Ladies association football team to help improve both the technique and performance levels of the players. Cork City W.F.C. will also be sponsoring a sports bursary for a student to help assist in their education.

Speaking on the launch, Cork Women’s F.C. board member Pat Healy said “We’re delighted to be working with Cork Institute of Technology. They have been excellent to us throughout the years and we’re delighted to make our association official. It’s always exciting to see two Cork institutions working together.”

C.I.T. representative Eric Marah added “We’re pleased to be working with Cork Women’s F.C. going forward – there has always been a couple of links between but it’s great to finally have an official partnership in place with the club. We look forward to many seasons of working together and hopefully some successful seasons as well!”
