The game comes swiftly on the back of a 4-1 victory away to Galway WFC with two first half goals from Maggie Duncliffe and second half goals from Christina Dring and Saoirse Noonan and securing Cork City WFC a fifth place finish in the Continental Tyre’s Women’s National League. And with the Cup Final on the 5th of November against UCD Waves every member of the squad will be looking to impress for a starting position at the Aviva.

Looking back on the Galway game and ahead to the Wexford game Cork City WFC manager Frank Kelleher had this to say: “Looking forward to our final game of the season tomorrow against Wexford. Played very well in Galway and deserved the victory. We have to manage the squad in the final two games to have everyone fit for the cup final. The players who came in for the Galway game did fantastic. Wexford tomorrow will be focused on getting a result to maintain their title challenge. We have done well against them this season and I expect the game to be very close. We will do everything to get a good result and maintain momentum for the final next week.”
