Cork City WFC will hope to progress to the semi-final of the Continental Tyre’s FAI Women’s Senior Cup as they host Peamount United this Saturday 9th of September at Bishopstown with a 5.30 kick off.

It’s City’s third game in a week after trips to Dublin to face UCD Waves last Sunday and their 5-1 defeat in the Continental Tyre’s Women’s League Cup semi-final on Wednesday evening and will hope to return to winning ways and secure a semi-final place In the FAI Cup.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game Cork City WFC manager Frank Kelleher had this to say: “FAI Cup quarter final on Saturday. Again another test for us. We didn’t play to our full capacity against Shelbourne and we were very disappointed. Trained on Thursday and spoke about putting it right on Saturday against Peamount. We must play for 90 minutes and manage the game better. We have an opportunity to do this on Saturday. A number of key players are back for us which will help. The group know what will be required. We must play with the right mentality on Saturday.”
