Match Preview- Cork City WFC vs Wexford Youths Womens FC

Cork City WFC will be looking to make it three wins in a row as they host current league leaders Wexford Youths Womens FC this Saturday May 13th in the Continental Tyre’s Women’s National League at the Bishopstown Stadium with a 5pm kick off.
Having gotten their first win of the season against Kilkenny United WFC two weeks ago in a 2-0 victory picked up all three points at Eamonn Deacy Park beating Galway WFC 2-0 and will hope to continue this run of form against Wexford Youth WFC.
Cork City WFC player Stacey Paul had this to say ahead of Saturday’s game ; “ We’re really looking forward to the game this weekend, I think the last two games has really helped build our confidence all the girls are buzzing in the dressing room its a completely different atmosphere I feel from any other season. Everyone is just so positive and ready to work hard and we’re just hoping to get a good result against Wexford.”
Cork City WFC Manager Frank Kelleher also spoke ahead of Saturday’s game “We’re looking forward to the Wexford game having had two very good victories in the previous two matches which we’ve been delighted about really and very encouraged by the players who are working incredibly hard and its beginning to show now on the pitch. Wexford will be a tough test they’re top of the league for the reason that they’re unbeaten this year so we know that we’ll have to be really focused for this game but we’re really looking forward to it. Its a possibility of getting another three points so that’s what we’re hoping for.”
